ONLY ONE WEEK LEFT TO GET YOUR FLUKE!!!
This week, once again the weather was tough. High winds and seas made fishing tough. We had Fluke on all trips and Kept some on most. The Sea Bass closure continues to hurt as we had to let go MANY good sized Sea Bass in our pursuit of the final Fluke of 2014. Some small blues, Triggerfish, Kingfish, and Croakers
also went into the buckets this week offering us other opportunities for after the  Fluke season closes. The SEA STAR III will continue to sail DAILY for this mixed bag of fishes until October 18 when the Sea Bass season opens again. I hope to see many of you this last week of Fluke season. By next week's report, we will have concluded the 2014 Fluke season. I will again leave you with some more photos from this week's action. Thanks for checking in......

High winds plagued the SEA STAR III ALL WEEK LONG!!! In the beginning of the
week, Pools were taken with 1lb Blues. I think you all know what kind of trips
these were! Rough seas made things tough and if things weren't bad enough,
the best sign of Sea Bass this summer was taken away by the state closure!
We had to overcome many obstacles this week to make this report and I only
hope that the weather helps us finish out the Fluke season STRONG!!! There
were still Blues and some Triggerfish to go along with the Fluke. I will again
leave you with some more photos from this week's action. Thanks for
checking in.....

The Ocean was good to the SEA STAR III this week, when the wind was not
blowing and we could fish there. One day during the week the wind affected
our catch at the reef, and the weekend was spent at  Cape May Point because
of a Stiff North East wind around 20kts both days. When conditions were good,
the fishing at the Reef was HOT! Great numbers of Fluke were caught, and
Keepers were about one in ten. Many Fluke weighed in at 5+ lbs! Not just the
Pool Winners! I can't wait for the wind to stop so we can get back out there again!
Some Sea Bass, Blues, and a few Triggerfish are also going into the buckets.
With just over a month of Fluke season left, I hope you all give it another shot.
The warm weather and diminishing crowds make September in Cape May nothing short of BEAUTIFUL! I want to Thank all of the youngsters that joined us during their summer break, and wish them luck in the coming school year!
As always, I will again leave you with more photos from this week's action.

Most of this week was spent in the Delaware Bay. The Fluke action slowed to
the point you had to work to get a few Keeper fish. The SEA STAR III started to
search different areas of the Bay and even took a trip to the Ocean to find better
Fluke action. Today showed promise, but the winds came up to 25kts and shut
us down. Hopefully the weather will give us a break and we can get back to
better catches. Again I will leave you with more photos of this week's action.

This week the SEA STAR III spent most of time in the Ocean concentrating on catching Fluke. Again, we found mostly short fish with an occasional Keeper.
Some of the Fluke are very nice, like the ones above. We lost a couple of days, and a few trips were less than spectacular weather wise, fishing around a Hurricane this week, there should be no surprise there! All in all not a bad week.

Warren Knights of Phila, PA., and Steve Storer of Harleysville, PA., all

Kingfish, Warren with a 2lb Sea Bass, and Steve with a 4.25lb Fluke.
CONGRATULATIONS!   NICE FISH!

This week on the SEA STAR III was an up and down week for Fluke. The Reefs gave us some action for Fluke and Sea Bass, but some trips keepers were
scarce. One poor weather trip put us in the Bay and we found some Kingfish,
and small Fluke. A great deal of why Fluke fishing is good or bad depends on
how you drift. Too fast and the fish aren't interested in chasing your baits, Too slow and you don't cover enough bottom. Conditions are constantly changing
and the better your drifting conditions are the better Fluke fishing is. Finding
Keepers is still another challenge. We will continue to search for more keepers
each and every trip and take what the waters give us. I hope to see more of you
as summer rolls on. As always, I will leave you with some more photos of this
week's action. Thanks for checking in......

This week the SEA STAR III spent most of our time in the ocean and found
Fluke. Before you get too excited, most of the fish were throw backs. However,
there were some keepers and a couple of REAL BEAUTIES like the ones above!
We also had a few Sea Bass, a couple to keep and some to let go. As the water
temperature rises and summer gets into full swing, I hope that the keeper ratio
gets better and better. Only time will tell for sure. One thing is for sure, The
SEA STAR III will continue to sail DAILY, Ocean or Bay, searching for more

Report for the week of May 5 - 11, 2014.
Some Drumfish are being taken on both sides of the Bay. The SEA STAR III
sat at the dock most of this week because of lack of fisherman. I hope this is
a temporary setback and people will start to realize it is May and they want to
FISH! The water temperature is up to 60 in the Bay. Reservations are being
taken for our PRIME TIME Drumfishing trips and seats are still available for
ALMOST ALL of the dates. Call NOW to get your seats. I can only hope that
next week I have more to report.   Thanks for checking in.

Jack Murray of Aldan, PA took a Pool aboard the SEA STAR III early in the week with a 5.5lb Blackfish.   Congratulations!     NICE FISH!

With Blackfish season closing on the April 30th, and a few days of poor weather,
not many photos this week. The SEA STAR III is now fishing for Drumfish and Stripers in the Delaware Bay DAILY. (weather permitting) Although we did not catch them the first few Drumfish were taken this weekend. One of those fish caught tipped the scales at 53lbs! That is a GREAT fish for this early in the Drumfish cycle. I do want to remind all of you that the SEA STAR III is now taking Reservations for the PRIME TIME DRUMFISHING Trips. These trips sail every
Wednesday and Saturday nights 4PM - 10PM. Reservations and Deposits are REQUIRED! Call (609) 884-3421 to get your seats TODAY! Here are a few more

Both took Pools aboard the SEA STAR III this week with Blackfish. These fish weighed in at 5lb, and 3.5lbs respectively. CONGRATULATIONS ! NICE FISH!

The SEA STAR III fished a few days this week and when the Stripers did not cooperate, we found a few nearby wrecks and caught a few Blackfish for our passengers. A few keeper sized fish and some shorts on all the trips this week.
The SEA STAR III is attempting to sail 6 Hour trips DAILY at 9 AM and will continue to do so until sometime in December. Report for "opening weekend" April 18 - April 19 2014.
Off to a slow start! Only two trips, and very few fisherman on each trip, Opening
Weekend only showed us that we are back to sailing. The SEA STAR III is looking and running GREAT! Although the Stripers didn,t cooperate this weekend, it was
a very nice couple of days on the Bay. The water temperature was between 45 - 51 degrees where we fished. We were one of only about 5 boats as far as the eyes could see! Either everyone heard something that we didn't or people are not ready to fish yet in 2014! I for one hope that changes VERY SOON!!! By next weekends report, I will have picked our dates for the PRIME TIME DRUMFISHING Trips and will advertise the dates and availability under our Special Trips page. Don't forget that our Drumfish Trips are STRICTLY LIMITED to 25 people and Reservations are REQUIRED! Also, we will be sailing twice a week this season, Wednesdays and Saturdays due to the success of the last couple of years. Winter held on way too long, don't forget that it is almost May!

This was a slow week of Striper fishing! The SEA STAR III sailed about half of the week and only had a few opportunities at Stripers. A few nice Bass like this one were taken by us and a few other Lucky Captains but nothing came easy! We plan to sail DAILY until December 24th 2013. At that time The SEA STAR III will conclude our 2013 campaign. I hope to see you all another time or two before then. Thanks for checking in.

KEEPER STRIPERS IN THE "RIPS"
Steve Eakins of Telford, PA., and Jack Hirschmann also of Telford, PA., both took Pools aboard the SEA STAR III this week with MONSTER STRIPERS! These fish weighed in at 35lb and a whopping 44lbs.
GREAT FISH GUYS!                   CONGRATULATIONS!

The trips earlier in the week produced more short fish in the Bay, an attempt to
find bigger fish in the ocean only fed the sharks, and FINALLY the "RIPS" gave the SEA STAR III what we were looking for... Keeper sized fish! Not just keepers either, these fish tipped the scales at over 30 and over 40 lbs!!! WOW!
With about one month left on our 2013 schedule, the time is NOW if you want to fish again this year. The SEA STAR III is sailing DAILY (weather permitting) until
December 24, 2013. I hope to see you all again before we wrap up another season. Don't forget your Gift Cards for the holidays! As always, I will again leave you with some more photos of this week's action. Thanks for checking in.....

temperatures drop. Until then we will continue to take what the Bay gives us.
The SEA STAR III is scheduled to sail DAILY until December 24th, 2013.
Also Holiday Gift Cards are available in ANY Denomination for that special

Report for the week of Nov. 4 - 10.
The SEA STAR III is catching Stripers! After fishing both days this weekend,
things are looking up. Water temperature is now at about 51 degrees and
a good number of small Stripers started to bite in the Delaware Bay. So far
Keepers have been in short supply, But that could change any day. I am
happy to announce that we have caught fish each day this weekend, and hope
that this will bring a few more anglers to give it a try. With some more time and
days spent fishing, I'm confident that we will find some keepers soon! Here
are some pics from this weekends action.  Thanks for checking in....

Another week with No News. The water temp in the RIPS has fallen a bit
more to 57 degrees. So far the Stripers have given us the slip, However,

Report for the week of Oct. 21 - 27.
Wind, wind, and more wind is the report for this week! The SEA STAR III only
managed to sail on Saturday again and without success. One positive note,
the water temperature has fallen to 58 degrees in the RIPS and there has been
some unconfirmed reports of a few Stripers taken by private and small charter
boats in the past couple of days. As long as the weather cooperates, we hope
to have our first Fall Striper any day now. Also a reminder that SEA STAR III Holiday Gift Cards are available NOW! Perfect for the fisherman on your list. Call (609) 884 - 3421 to Get yours TODAY! Thanks for checking in.

Report for the week of Oct. 14 - 20.
Not much to tell again this week Gang. The SEA STAR III sat at the dock all
but Saturday. This was our first Striper Trip and we didn't find the Stripers.
The water temperature is about 64 degrees in the rips and everything else
looks right so we hope with cooler temps this coming week water temps will
decrease and some fish will start to show up. It certainly won't be long now.
Thanks for checking in.

Report for the week of Oct. 7 - 13.
No New Report for this week Gang. The slow moving weather systems produced severe winds and Seas and kept the SEA STAR III at the dock ALL WEEK! We hope to have a new report for next week. Thanks for checking in.
Report for the week of Sept. 30 - October 6.
Bill Canavan of Lafayette, PA., Bob Schwenk of Norristown, PA.,
Bob Miller of Phila, PA., Angela Chiarulli of Rio Grande, NJ., and
Greg Urban of Atco, NJ., all Took Pools aboard the SEA STAR III
 this week. These fish were a 3.5lb Blackfish, a 4lb Triggerfish, a 2lb, 4lb,
and 2.5lb Sea Bass Respectively.   CONGRATULATIONS!

This week the action out on the wrecks and reefs was HOT! The keeper ratio
could have been better, but a nice week. Anglers caught Sea Bass, Blackfish,
Porgies, Triggerfish, Snapper Blues, Croakers, and even a Blowfish! Some
days produced more keepers than others but the catching was steady. The
SEA STAR III will continue to Bottom Fish until October 14th when Sea Bass
season AGAIN Closes. Perhaps, a couple of days fishing for small Blues and
Croakers( Oct. 15 - 18) until we begin our Fall Striper fishing Friday October,
18th. The SEA STAR III will finish out our 2013 Campaign with Stripers until
years end. Once again I will leave you with some more photos of the week's

Bob McHenry of Phila, PA., John Schoell of Etters, PA.,
Tom Collins of Media, PA., and Tony Pompilli of Wildwood, NJ.,
all took Pools aboard the SEA STAR III this week. Bob and John finished
out our Fluke season with a 4lb Fluke and a 4.75 lb Fluke. Tom and Tony

CONGRATULATIONS!

The SEA STAR III finished out the Fluke Season early this week, and started
our bottom fishing on Friday the 27th with the opening of Sea Bass season.
The action for Sea Bass was steady, However, most of the fish were small.
Opening weekend provided some keeper sized Bass, some nice Triggerfish,
and a few Blues. The winds were up and from the NorthEast, and that could have been some of reason for a poor keeper ratio this weekend. Only time
will tell as we search for more keeper sized Sea Bass. Also I would like to remind all of you that the SEA STAR III plans to sail 9AM - 3PM DAILY throughout the Fall, weather permitting. The water temp was at 64 degrees Saturday for those who are waiting for the Striped Bass. It won't be long now! Once again I will leave you with some more photos from this
